Erin Go Bragh!

This was supposed to be a picture of the family at the Holland St. Patrick's Day parade, but... Frankie (the kid who never takes naps over an hour) slept for a good three hours, missing out on green beer, car bombs, gaudy green clothing, and unfortunately the parade.
Happy Birthday Cousin Anna, and a Happy St. Patrick's Day to all!

FRANKIE...
You need to ask your mom about the good ol' days at the Irish Eyes.

There was an Irish lad named Woody, who came to the States straight from the Motherland(now don't you go falling asleep on me as I tell you this story). Now Woody, he had to have been about 100 years old. And Woody, every Friday or Saturday night, not sure which, would hobble up onto a small little stage and play his guitar at this quaint, little establishment on the Northside of Chicago, right down the street from Lincoln Park Zoo (Oh, you gotta go there someday, it's lovely....the Zoo that is; they have lots of cool animals: Polar Bears, green Alligators, long neck Geese, Monkeys, humpty back Camels and Elephants) Anyway, Woody would sing songs and the patrons of this establishment would sing along, because that is what they did as the afternoon would turn to night. There was one little ditty about the Southside of Chicago...Your mom, should know the words. Ask her to sing it for you. Oh, if she gives you some nonsense that she doesn't remember, I've included the chorus down below. So, there are NO EXCUSE for her not to sing to you. Ya know, your mom is a pretty good singer.

Here it goes, the words to the song are:

"We're the South Side Irish as our fathers were before
We come from the Windy City and we're Irish to the core
From Bridgeport to Beverly from Midway to South Shore
We're the South Side Irish-Let's sing it out once more!"

HAPPY (belated) SAINT PATRICK's DAY 2008!

Love Suzy
